Profile

Dr. sc. Milena Jadrijević-Mladar Takač is Associate Professor at the Department of Medicinal Chemistry. She is is a leader and a teacher of the following courses which are performed in Croatian and English languages at the graduate level, i.e., Medicinal Chemistry and Biochemistry of Drugs, and at the postgraduate level of Doctoral studies 'Pharmaceutical and Biochemical Sciences', the course 'Drugs as Enzyme Inhibitors, as well. Dr. Jadrijevic's research interest are biologically active molecules and towards the biological target directed drug design, a study of structural, physicochemical and ADMET properties, the use of molecular descriptors and drug-likeness parameters with the drugs of known pharmacological effects, and the other properties which are responsible for pharmacological effects as well as to the adverse drug effects of medicines which are in clinical use. The research is specifically directed toward enzyme inhibitor drugs, with an emphasis on protein tyrosine kinase and histone deacetylase inhibitors.
