Profile

Lada Rumora, PhD, is a full professor at the Department of Medical Biochemistry and Haematology. She teaches courses in graduate studies: Biochemistry, Biological membranes and cell signalling, and Free radicals and antioxidants in health and diseases; courses in postgraduate doctoral study Pharmaceutical-Biochemical Sciences: Signalling pathways as therapeutic targets, and Free radicals and antioxidants in the control of cell function; course in postgraduate specialist study Molecular Diagnostics: Principles and methods of molecular diagnostics. Her scientific interests include mechanisms of cell death, activation of signalling pathways, oxidative stress, inflammation, protease-antiprotease imbalance, and molecular biology studies of gene expression and gene polymorphisms.
